Carlos Frederico Angelis is Head of the Operations and Modelling Division at the Center for Monitoring and Early Warning of Natural Disasters (CEMADEN). Carlos has a PhD in Geography and Environmental Sciences from The University of Birmingham, UK; a Masters in Remote Sensing from the National Institute for Space Research (INPE), Brazil and a BSc. in Geography.
His work focuses on developing research and studies for estimating rainfall using remote sensing of the atmosphere (weather radars and satellites). He also teaches Remote Sensing of the Atmosphere using active and passive microwave at the INPE postgraduate program.
